Matthew’s practice covers general commercial litigation, consumer privacy, white collar and internal investigations, and complex business litigation.
Prior to joining Benesch, Matthew was an associate at a major international law firm in Palo Alto where his practice focused on securities litigation.
He has drafted multiple dispositive motions and represented clients in both state and federal litigation, as well as arbitration disputes. Matthew has experience researching and drafting memoranda and motions, appearing in court, and negotiating advantageous outcomes for clients.
As a part of Benesch’s Retail & E-Commerce practice group, he has represented over two dozen clients in consumer class actions, individual suits, and arbitrations arising from customers’ use of their websites and apps. Based on his extensive knowledge of the ways in which courts interpret and apply digital agreements, Matthew regularly advises clients on their website practices.
Additionally, Matthew has experience in trial preparation, including drafting privilege logs, preparing for witness interviews and depositions, and overseeing discovery. He has also contributed to several pro bono projects.
