Marcus A. Williams is a native and proud resident of Jackson, Mississippi. Marcus is dedicated and committed to public service and helping people. He serves the community in several capacities and holds leadership positions in several organizations. Marcus believes that to whom much is given, much is required and focuses his law practice on service above all.

Attorney Williams has extensive litigation experience. He began his legal career as a litigation defense attorney at a large defense firm where he represented individuals and companies being sued in personal injury, premises liability, and commercial litigation cases. Thereafter, he went to work for one of the most prestigious plaintiff’s firms in Mississippi where he handled a multitude of cases and recovered millions of dollars for his clients. Marcus has experience on both sides of litigation in both civil and criminal cases, which provides him with exceptional insight and knowledge that benefits his clients.

Marcus graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2010 with a degree in Political Science and History. He earned his Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2014. During law school, he was elected student body president.

Marcus has been honored by Super Lawyers as a Mid-South Rising Star – a distinction given to a very small percentage of attorneys. He was also honored by the Mississippi Business Journal as a Leader in the Law for 2019 and listed in Portico Magazine’s issue of up-and-coming attorneys.

Marcus enjoys reading, spending time with his wife, family and friends, traveling, music and sports. He is committed to providing clients at Williams & Bass, PLLC, with superb, results driven legal services and is dedicated to fighting for justice.
