Erika Veal focuses her practice exclusively in helping clients build and protect their legacy in business transactions, including formation and restructuring, business branding with marketing development and trademark services, as well as helping preserve legacy and generational wealth with estate planning and various probate matters.
Prior to joining Doré Rothberg Law, Erika served as an Administrative Law Judge for the Texas Workforce Commission, handling complex unemployment claim hearings. Erika received a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio and Television Production and Criminal Justice from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2010 and earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the historic Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2020, where she served as Chief Justice of the Thurgood Marshall School of Law Honor Court as well as a board member of the distinguished James M. Douglas Board of Advocates, and as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Judge Sonya L. Heath in the 310th Judicial District Court. Erika is also a graduate of the High School for Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice.
Erika truly believes proper planning for tomorrow will provide peace of mind for clients today. When not helping clients with their legacy planning, Erika enjoys traveling, photography, reading and exploring new restaurants around the city.
