Diamond Stewart Roach is an associate in GSRM Law’s Litigation and Labor and Employment sections. Diamond's experience includes employment law matters related to discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. She provides guidance to HR professionals and drafts contracts, employee handbooks, and policies. Diamond has represented mortgage lenders and financial institutions in consumer lawsuits. Additionally, she has represented restaurants and bars with matters related to ABC licensing and beer permits.
Diamond has gained in-house legal department experience working for small businesses to large corporations including a professional sports team, a large title lending company, and a large, company-owned, convenience store group that provided her exposure in employment, compliance, insurance, trademark, property, contract, and copyright matters.
Diamond received her Juris Doctor from Belmont University College of Law, where she was the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Belmont Entertainment & Music Law Journal. Her note, “Why the Emergence of Rap Music in Today’s Society Requires the Supreme Court to Reconsider Whether a Statement Amounts to a ‘True Threat,’ Not Protected by the First Amendment,” was selected for publication in the Journal. Prior to attending law school, Diamond earned her undergraduate degree from Sewanee: The University of the South where she was head captain of the volleyball team and the recipient of multiple All-Conference, Most Valuable Player, and Academic Honor Roll awards.
