Sharix Alicea is an associate in the Firm’s Corporate Practice Group. She assists clients with negotiating and drafting contracts related to sophisticated business transactions involving corporate formation, private funds and managed account platforms, and franchising. Additionally, Sharix represents fund sponsors in the structuring and formation of various types of domestic and offshore investment funds.
Sharix advises and guides clients through the legal issues related to strategy, mergers and acquisitions, structure and reorganizations, and commercial real estate transactions. She represents middle-market companies in the negotiation of commercial contracts, leveraging her attention to detail to ensure that documentation reflects the commercial realities of the market and supports her clients' end goals.
When assisting clients, Sharix draws on her experience representing institutional investors in connection with comingled funds, co-investments, joint ventures, and direct equity transactions. She also utilizes her experience as a litigator, representing large financial institutions in legal matters related to lending, financial services, creditor’s rights, and real estate disputes. She helps clients see the big picture on their deals, forecast potential legal issues, and overcome these legal obstacles.
