Alfred represents clients in all phases of state and federal litigation and helps develop litigation strategies to resolve disputes in a timely and effective manner.
Before joining Thompson Coburn, Alfred served as a senior trial attorney with a major insurer, where he successfully managed a high-volume insurance defense caseload from inception to resolution, including preparing and trying as first chair more than 15 jury trials of various complexities. Alfred also developed risk mitigation strategies and negotiated favorable case settlements.
Alfred has led depositions of lay and expert witnesses, defended motions in oral arguments, and participated in hearings and mediations.
Born and raised in San Antonio, Alfred has been committed to serving others from a young age. After working in San Antonio for another major insurance company, Alfred moved back to Dallas to join the inaugural law school class at the University of North Texas at Dallas. Today, Alfred serves on the board of organizations that provide education services to foster children and connect at-risk youth to athletic and educational opportunities.
In 2021, Alfred was selected for the Leadership Council for Legal Diversity's Pathfinder program, a leadership development course for diverse, high-potential, early-career attorneys. He was also a member of the 2020 Leadership Class of the Dallas Young Lawyers Association.
